Dog Breed for the Obama’s: Portuguese Water Dog or Labradoodle

Apparently the media has reported the Obama’s have narrowed the White House dog down to two breeds. The Labradoodle or the Portuguese Water Dog. Being the dog people that we are here at K9 Coach we are wondering your thoughts on which dog it should be.

We work with many different breeds from very large dogs, small dogs… (we have a mini poodle in our dog training camp at the moment), & mixed breeds in our private lessons & dog training camp programs. There are surely traits that stand out in the different breeds and sometimes one breed will fit a family much better than another breed.

The Obama’s are looking for a dog that is hypoallergenic since their daughters have some allergies that make a lot of dog hair a problem. Thus the narrowing of the two choices.
